Cynthia's Cure Cancer Challenge
Story
With your help I aim to raise much needed funds for Cure Cancer Australia by embarking on a 14-day cycling and trekking tour through Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam - Race for a Cure Asia Challenge 2010.
This charity challenge is a physically demanding fundraising event that I will need to prepare and train for. The last time I rode a bicycle was over ten years ago! I hope the saying, "Once you learn to ride a bike, you'll never forget" stands true. Plus, you know it's going to be tough when you receive a 13-page fitness and training guide in your registration pack, courtesy of Inspired Adventures. Yikes!
Now back to the cause, Cure Cancer Australia is the only national cancer research charity exclusively dedicated to funding young post-doctoral researchers in their search for a cure or improve the outcomes of people living with cancer. This is close to my heart because my Grandfather passed away from lung cancer and my Aunt is breast cancer survivor.
